Shamrock 8K run

For St. Patrick's day weekend I went to Virginia Beach with some of my friends to run the Yuengling Marathon.... just kidding, we ran the Shamrock 8k. Same difference ;)  

It was awesome. I felt SO proud of myself for completing it. We ran the whole thing... a whole 4.97 miles. That is the farthest distance I have run at one time... and we finished in 58 minutes. Holy cow we did it in under an hour! We each have set new goals for ourselves to continue running and increase our race distances. I have started to really enjoy running especially when running with friends. We trianed together and stayed together the entire race encouraging each other to not give up. We had come so far to quit at the end without giving it our all.

I'm an AUNT!

Well, not officially yet... Jay's brother and his girlfriend welcomed a beautiful baby girl on Monday night. She is precious. And I love her. I'm already calling her my niece, because well, she basically is!
